cats love it. well built and stays warm.

This is a solid metal cage that is well-built and has a full cover that slides over the top. I love how it elevates the entire bed about 1 inch from the ground. we placed it on our porch with our other outdoor house and the cats are always sleeping in this one now. I tried to leave the front door down to see if the cats would push through it but they didn't try. I think it's mainly because they like to look out at the front yard. The cord is long and I appreciate that since we don't have many outside outlets. The stitching is nice and holding up really well. We are thinking that we may order a few more to help all our kitties that love to be outside this winter.

Neighborhood Stray Already Using

Bought this for my mom, who has a couple of neighborhood wanderers. 2 of them have collars, but the other appears to be a stray. The stray has already started using it so we're hoping she will eventually be able to trap it and get it checked out by a vet. She'll be ordering a couple more for the other wanderers so they have a safe place before the rainy season starts. Easy for her to set up, which is a plus.

Not quite as advertised

The pros first. It comes with a nice quality bag to store the house during the summer months. The heating pad cord is substantial and I'm not worried about it holding up. The actual house was easy enough to put together and I have no doubt it will provide some additional shelter to my barn cats.
I think the listing is a bit misleading though. It states it's a heated shelter for feral and outside cats, so I was assuming I would be good to go with using it on a covered porch. But the directions are a bit misleading. At the beginning of the manual, it states "The heated pad is for indoor use only". Feral and outside cats don't fit that bill. Then later in the manual it states, "This heated pad is an electrical device and beware of getting wet when used outside." So mixed emotions on what the intended product is safe for. For the moment, I've opted not plug it in on the covered porch.
